It's that time of year again as the team is set to take the mat in just 2 weeks! The Peckham-Taylor "Pin to Win" fundraising campaign is named after Cyclone greats Tom Peckham and Chris Taylor, who each had over 50% of their matches at Iowa State end by way of fall! This fun campaign serves to honor two of our former wrestlers, as well as create some excitement for our fans and current Cyclone wrestlers.

The Cyclones recorded 27 pins in 2011- 2012, 42 in 2012-2013, and 47 in 2013- 2014. The single season record stands at 66 pins, recorded by the 1969-1970 team. Chris Taylor tallied 44 pins alone in the 1972-1973 season!

Supporters can pledge any dollar amount per pin that ISU gets during the season. For example, you pledge $5 per pin and our varsity wrestlers record 50 pins during the season, you would be committing a $250 contribution. It gives our wrestlers incentives to get bonus points and creates excitement for the supporters following their progress!

Pin Pool pledges are collected before and during the competition season. The pledge dues will not be collected until the completion of the season and during the next CWC membership year. The pin pool pledge does count toward your CWC membership, next year, but the campaign was designed to serve in addition to your current membership level. Thank you all for your continued support of ISU and the Cyclone Wrestling Club!

Welcome Garrett. Now we can get all our info 1st hand.

Serious, CWC is doing some great thing. Lots of things we were complaining about 5 years ago are fixed and being addressed. New info is constantly being put on the CWC website. Blogs by senior level athletes are on the website.

They are doing lots of new fundraising activities. I think Garrett told me that the Kickoff dinner had 170 people attend this year vs 125 last year.

CWC board members are doing a great job. Keep it up.
