Is this an "I've made plenty of money and I want to get back to the purity of teaching the game" kind of move, or what's up?

More of a “we want to retire down here but my wife told me I had to still have a hobby to keep out of the house” kind of move.

Well, if Paul coaches any D1 guys, he should know where to send them.

I genuinely can't believe it's the only job he'd be able to get so I'll choose to believe he's ready to settle down a bit.

Pretty sure his youngest finished HS while they were still in Iowa. (Wyatt played at Gilbert)

This is actually a perfect job for him. While I've talked my **** about him in the past, it seems pretty clear that he always cared deeply for his players and high school kids could always use one more person in their corner. Hope he does well
Couldn't agree with this more. Rhoads could absolutely be a good presence in a lot of kids' lives this way and I could absolutely understand a coach not wanting the schedule of D1 coach at this point in Rhoads' career.
