I always like listening to Tony Kornheiser's radio show out of Washington DC. They do this thing every week leading into the Tournament where they have people come on and give their picks. Pat Forde is on and had both UNI and ISU in the Final Four. Yes they would be playing each other in the Final Four with the good guys winning. Wisconsin over Kentucky on the other side to win it all.

The show will be on podcast tomorrow.

Looking at celebrity brackets, it appears Wilbon has us loosing to Wisky in the Championship (he loves Fred). Also looking forward to Chuck Todds bracket as he has mentioned that his grandfather is an ISU grad.

Have listened to TKs show for a long time!

All of this publicity is great. But, based on past performances after being hyped in the news and/or highly ranked, I'd prefer there not be this much hype at this point. We haven't shown we can handle success that well.

Lol. The only "we" that hasn't handled success are the fans.

You're really going to hate next year then...

Must be what it feels like to be one of the blue bloods where you're on ESPN every game.

The hype has nothing to do with whether we win or lose. We are a damn good team with a damn good coach and seem to be clicking at the right time. Sure we could get picked off in an early game. So can every other team in a one and done scenario. And those worried about Larry Browns acumen: we beat bill self 3 out of last 4. Fred can coach little too.

I hate loosing.

Good to see there are at least a few Littles on the board that have the shaputzpah to admit it.

I really like Pat Forde, btw. I know he gets a lot of **** on this board.

Ok, here's some pretty good indication of handling success: no team nationally has a higher % of this seasons games vs. NCAA tourney teams than the Cyclones (57%). This team was 14-5 in those games. Not bad.

In the celebrity brackets, Seth Davis has us losing to SMU, but I think everyone else has us in the Elite Eight or Final Four. Mr Tony asked Pat Forde why CFH isn't coaching in NBA yet. Forde basically said while it may be less annual money, he has incredible job security. I like Pat, despite being a Mizzou alum, he knows his stuff.

Ummm... I'm pretty sure Kentucky has a 100% win-rate over NCAA Tourney teams.

EDIT: Reading is hard. And math.

****. I read "highest % against at 57%", followed by 14-5, and assumed the percent meant the win rate.

Seems like Pat Forde enjoys s****ing on the city of Ames every chance he gets, but otherwise he is fine.

I been following/reading his negative opinion on Ames since 2006. It doesn't really bother me as it's just his opinion but I've always wondered if it has something to do with his friend Chizik and the way he couldn't win much at ISTATE. Forde, has actually wrote articles saying he has never been to Ames and then he'll write an article saying he been here. It's really odd because every chance, since Chizik left, Forde goes overboard in disliking Ames. Oh well.

Seth will be wrong again.
