Parking Pass and Donations

Is it just me or does anyone else wish they started the numbering from Jack Trice Stadium so that A1, B1, C1, and D1 are in a line?
The northern buildings of Stephens (1969) and Hilton (1971) in the ISC were built first so it makes sense that they numbered from close to those buildings to further away. Jack Trice didn't open until 1975. Even Fisher (1974) opened before JTS.

I knew there had to be more to the story. But now you've got me thinking.

Did they not have the big lots that extend to Jack Trice when Hilton opened? If not, did they call them B1/2 and C1/2 even before there were A and D lots? It seems like they could have just called them Scheman/Hilton North/South lots until the bigger lots were built. However, it also seems that they would have needed to big lots as soon as Hilton opened.

I believe they built lots clear to 4th but nothing around what would be the stadium.

Here is a pic from Cyclone Stadium construction.

I'm pretty sure that is the same asphalt I was tailgating on last fall, too. Give me resurfacing or give me death!

So, I guess it would have been weird to name the lot farthest from Hilton A-1 when there was no football facility across the street yet.

Hilton under construction. No parking lots except for around CY.

That is an awesome photo. Almost any other time, I would have focused on Hilton. But in this thread, it is cool to see some of the parking lots built and others roughed in even before Jack Trice Stadium was built.

P.S. From gravel they came and to gravel they are returning one winter at a time.

Anybody know the plan for the Hilton/Scheman lots (and Scheman grass)? Will they be open to the public (except on rain days or during All-State Music)? Or to ask differently, can you pick passes in B1, B2, C1, or C2?

Per the map jd linked (in the tweet), yes to C1 & C2, no to B1 & B2.
