OU would roll the hawkeyes

Some #s using today's sagarin vs the CFP Big Ten Selection Committee, notice how Baylor's "HORRIBLE" schedule is now a typical Ohio State or Iowa schedule and every other Big 12 team is playing better competition even according to the CFP's own SOS ranking. Ohio State better be 10th like Baylor is now in the next CFP since they are 0-1 against good teams.

Oklahoma Sagarin: 2 (32 SOS)
Oklahoma BigTen Committee: 7 (34 SOS)

Baylor Sagarin: 4 (65 SOS)
Baylor BigTen Committee: 10 (62 SOS)

TCU Sagarin: 8 (44 SOS)
TCU BigTen Committee: 18 (45 SOS) (about to fall as insane as that is)

Ohio State Sagarin: 5 (61 SOS)
Ohio State BigTen Committee: 3 (58 SOS)

Iowa Sagarin: 17 (62 SOS)
Iowa BigTen Committee: 5 (67 SOS)

Michigan State Sagarin: 15 (48 SOS) (up to the minute)
Michigan State BigTen Committee: 9 (50 SOS) (about to rise)

NW Sagarin: 34 (31 SOS) (up to the minute)
NW BigTen Committee: 20 (40 SOS) (about to move up)

That is some staggeringly consistent 100% upward movement vs a computer for one conference and 100% downward movement from computer for another. I'll agree that the truth could very will be somewhere in between, but there's simply no way that Sagarin is overvaluing every single Big 12 team and undervaluing every single Big Ten team.

The frustration is not Iowa's preseason schedule it is that they did not have to play a single good conference team. Non conf schedule was actually pretty decent.

The overall schedule is still ranked in the top half of all teams' in the country, and it'll get better in a couple weeks. Has the conference schedule been terrible? Sure, especially after the first three games (Wisconsin, Illinois, Northwestern). But the overall schedule has been perfectly average.

What a great season so far for Iowa.

We could lose to Nebby easily. Now would OU roll Iowa? I doubt that, but they could win. A fairly large difference between B12 and B1G the last several seasons, and not in the B12's favor either. Oklahoma is the most complete team in the B12, no doubt. I'm stunned more teams don't try to model a defense and offensive line with the same philosophies, as I think they would roll through the east B12 schedule doing this.

It is exactly what ISU should attempt to do. To a large degree this doesn't take 4 and 45 star recruiting classes to get there.

Maybe we should discuss Iowa's bowl results the past three seasons.

Maybe. But we didn't play B12 opponent, so it wouldn't be germane to my point, or to the original topic.

Life is easier when we have reasonable discussion. More difficult when one is blind and filled with jealously and hate.

It's a game dude, and this is a discussion. Try to keep up.

Three bowl games ago you lost to Oklahoma 14 - 31, try to keep up.

That's relevant to this discussion, how, exactly? The fifth-year seniors are the only players on the roster today who were on the roster in that game.

It's not relevant at all, golfer wanted to compare big 12 vs big 10 bowl results for the last several years a few threads up.

You're right it's not relevant, since you switched from three years to three bowl games in two posts. Well done on that goalpost move.

Fun fact #1. At the end of the season, Iowa will have beaten 1 team in the top 25 - Northwestern.
Actually, maybe 2 if Pitt gets in.

Fun fact #2. Northwestern and Pitt will have combined for a whole 1 other top 25 win.

stanford dropping out of the rankings?

They actually have a chance to have beaten 3 top 25 teams. Pitt and Wisconsin are 27th and 30th in the AP poll.
