I hate these threads. The only way to truly play this out is head to head.... Do I think OU would be the better team yes, but I also think there is a strong chance they will win the Big12 and be on the outside looking in on playoffs....

Hawk fans on hawkeyenation:
OU sucks because they lost to Texas.
ISU only plays Iowa close because of rivalry.....
Apparently the rivalry narrative is only allowed to be used in their favor.
Combined Big 10 record of Big 10 East teams that Iowa's faced: 0-12
Combined Big 10 record of all other Big 10 East teams: 21-10 (includes 1-6 Rutgers)
Yet none have beaten them yet.
Iowa's Big 10 wins are over teams with a combined 12-24 in Big 10 play this season.
Of those 12 wins, 9 come from Wisconsin and Northwestern.
The combined Big 10 record of the teams Wisconsin/Northwestern beat is 16-41.
Of those 9 wins between Wisconsin and Northwestern, the only win over a team with a Big 10 record over .500 is Northwestern's win over 4-2 Penn St.
You can pretty much do the exact same exercise with any of the B12's top teams as well.
It's time for me acknowledge Iowa's great season, same as when I acknowledged Wichita State's undefeated season. Beating ****** teams over and over again has value, because most teams will take a game off once in a while.
Iowa could tell you how to advance in the NCAA tournament. That's something that good teams do.So Iowa basketball fans shouldn't be allowed to give their opinions either?
They were actually beating them on the sides quite regularly.Season ain't over yet. All the stars in every game keep aligning for Iowa. All of them. There is bound to be a slip up...injury..bad call..etc..what I know is this...if Minnesota gets that onside kick Iowa loses. Minnesota was ripping the vaunted Iowa defense. Finally a team figured out what I've seen for years and that is how to beat that Iowa zone and it's right down the middle of the field.

Oh ok. What do you learn from beating bad teams week in and week out then?
Iowa has one NCAA tourney appearance in the last decade...Iowa basketball and ISU football are not nationally relevant
Winning shows you know how to win. Losing shows you know how to lose.
Iowa advanced to the round of 32 in basketball. The top 25 get rated. The two are not in the same category unless ISU football was close to being rated recently?

You already flipped us to comparing basketball teams to football teams in a thread about Oklahoma playing Iowa. Now we're moving to historical basketball to historical football? I feel like you just attempted to pass on third and short and are now playing catch up.Pretty much the same. Iowa has one NCAA tourney win in the last decade, ISU has one bowl win in the last decade. ISU has more bowl appearances in that time frame than Iowa does NCAA tourney appearances though
