Without doing any digging, does anyone know offhand who they will/won't have vs the first time we played? Think I read one of their really good DE's, not sure who else? Also, did we have anyone out due to injury that is back now other than Tarique? TIA

Are they significant upgrades over whoever started previously? I think we are playing so much better now, especially on offense, than we were first time around. Think it will be another back and forth game.
Arguably Two of their best players. Perkins is a monster, and Stevenson is a bruiser, but Baylor did a good job with him.

This is going to be a really interesting matchup. The OU offense looks better than the 1st time we played them but their defense still is their Achilles heal. Our offense is at their peak right now firing on all cylinders with Purdy and Hall at their best. It was 37-30 last time so either this is going to turn into a game that the first team that breaks 40 wins or a game where the defenses mix it up enough that it disrupts any momentum and we see it come down to a FG with the score in the 20's.

OU has one big advantage right away. They have played in this stadium before. They know where they are going, what the layout is like and such. May not seem like much, but it is different. None of our guys have played here or in a dome before. Just knowing where you are going and having some familiarity is helpful.

My concern is experience. Many of the OU players (and their coaches) have been there before (playing in the CCG), even multiple times. What type of ISU team shows up? One that comes out on fire or one that is full of CCG jitters?

I like Woody’s take on the pod today: the Ratt is still the same impulsive Ratt he was the first time we met him on the field. We’ll be patient and he’ll make a mistake eventually, then we’ll capitalize.

You think OU holding is bad in any regular season game....and it is. look at what they do on both sides of the ball during every CCG, BCS game.

can’t wait for that stress.

Looking at the history, the 1950's were not kind to us in this series. 0-10 and outscored 370-39 including 6 shutouts (five straight). We have only been shutout twice by them in my lifetime (since 1964).

This has absolutely no relevance to this year. Just interesting.

Stevenson being back is huge for them. I think when we played them both he and their normal second string backs were out. I think they were starting what was then their third string back (I think he’s second string now?)

Didn’t their second string back opt out of the season before it started?
