OU -13.5

At this point I have no feel for if that is high or low. Sort of depends on what OL and Purdy show up next saturday night. OU has shown signs of defending better, and then not so much. I would take the later.

My hunch: This is the only regular season game ISU keep it close. It might be only a 17-point "blowout, " but highly mobile QB who can throw downfield seems like a less-than-ideal matchup for our D. Offense will be able to move the ball but can't win a shootout game.

Obviously if ISU gets key turnovers, that could swing it a little closer.

Hope I'm wrong, still pulling for an upset of course.

My biggest worry is that Hurts could be the most seasoned QB in the entire NCAA. He is smart enough to take what the D is giving him and keep moving the chains and also athletic enough to cause a coverage breakdown for a big play. We will need to score damn near every possession.

Hurts is big, physical and fast. That makes him really dangerous for ISU's 3 man line. They are going to have to send blitzes after him to get him in the backfield. Once he breaks contain, ISU is going to struggle getting him down.

I wouldn't touch this one. Hurts is just too dangerous.

We better have someone just spy on him all game long, but that might not matter because whoever is our spy won't be fast enough anyway.

A lot is going to have to go our way to win.

We're going to need to run the ball for big chunks and also be effective in short yardage situations. We haven't done that consistently vs quality opponents this season.

We also need touchdowns when we get into the red zone. 30 points isn't going to beat Oklahoma. We will need at least 40.

Also need to get off the field on 3rd downs. That means spying Hurts (with Vance hopefully)

ISU Dude is in the house at Soonertimes. Easy to register and real college football fans. I linked your site and maybe some other OU will register. BTW..No ads or pop-ups.

Line seems too big to me, I think we'll keep it within the spread. However, I'll admit I'm basing that on nothing other than "we just don't get blown out much anymore."
