OT: GTA4

Here are some previews of cut scenes for GTA4. I assume this will be a PS3 game only?? If it is, I'm a buying a PS3. This franchise is the reason I bought a PS2 (GTA3) and I own vice city and san andreas already.

Yeah, 360 grabbed the rights to this one a little bit before last years E3.
Last I heard both 360 and Sony are trying to get exclusive downloadble content for the game.

10/17/07 is what they have listed right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if it changes.

personally i would reccomend getting a ps3 even if you didnt like this game. its a great system

Yeah, it is spending the 3 hrs necessary to go back and find all the little buggers, and then having 100 marked off on your list only to see 99 of 100 on the screen.

I think there was a lot of screaming and much beer consumed after I saw that.

Yeah, it is coming out for the 360 too. That announcement was seen as a major blow to Sony, as it had been exclusive until now. It was seen as a major developer lacking faith in the PS3.

I think it Peter Moore (head of microsoft gaming) announced that the episodic (downloadable) content is available for the 360 only.

Bleh, you're kidding, right? I would hope that anyone who's silly enough to spend well over $600 on a console would have at least a big handful of games that make him/her very excited. As far as I can tell, the PS3 doesn't have that to offer for anyone but fanboys.

Personally, I'd wait until the 360 price cuts happen, then get a Wii and a 360 for less than a PS3. With the 360, you get a comfy controller with awesome battery life and rumble. With PS3, you get... a really awful knockoff attempt at the Wii remote.

When the 360 price cut happens, the PS3 is very likely to follow. Keep that in mind, Sony fans.

One thing I can say for the PS3, is that if Blue ray does take over, they are essentially selling those things at a loss. It would be a good deal for the blue ray alone. But as a game system, the 360 blows it away in game quality and online play.

Why no PC version of this? It is still the best gaming platform. San Andreas is much better for the PC, the controls are so much smoother.

Get a wii, what are you talking about. That system is the biggest peice pf crap and is so childish. i guess if thats what you like. Also PS3 doesnt use batteries either and has better life than the 360, and rumble is overrated. O yea and one more thing, playstation added the motion sensor for more real like game simulation, its nothing like the wii's cause you dont use it for everything. I have both 360 and PS3 and PS3 wins.

For GTA3, the PC version came out about a year or less after the console version. I think it's probably an agreement they have with Microsoft and Sony to wait such and such amount of time until they release a PC version.
