Heading down to Stillwater for the OSU game this Saturday. Any Cyclone friendly bars to "tailgate" at before the game. Tailgating seems to be a bit of a nightmare down there.

Eskimo Joe's is a must do in Stillwater. Best chili cheese fries in the state. We went the year after we beat them in Ames when they were ranked #2 and the Poke fans were extremely gracious.

If you need brownie points with the locals just start bad mouthing OU and you will be fine. I don't think this is their homecoming but if it is make sure to drive around the fraternities as they build some great displays.

Eskimo Joes is their Hickory Park. Bring home a stack of Joes cups, they are awesome. Essentially the same type you brought home from ISU games in the 80s and 90s. Even if you don’t drink that many beers you can buy a stack in the gift shop.

The Stonewall is a fun/weird place but it’s not for everyone.

Iron Monk is a good brewery close to campus. Good beers but no food. Stilly wheat is their most popular but I like their stout.

Louie’s on Main Street is a good spot to grab a bite. It’s co owned by Gundy and has lots of cool OSU stuff from the past in it. I once saw Gundy playing bar trivia under a picture of himself. It was a very Gundy moment.

Right next to Louie’s is Finnegans. It’s a cool old hippy style bar. I once experienced bring your pet and meatball potluck night there. It truly was a night to remember. It’s got a good shuffleboard table. It’s my favorite place in Stillwater.

The 19th hole is a golf simulator/bar on west edge of town. It tends to be a little rough so you’ve been warned.

If you like Sushi, Boba Fusion is phenomenal. Don’t order, just walk in and tell the owner Hok that you want him to feed you. He never disappoints.

Another spot to eat isThai Loco. It’s a small place west of campus. It has great Thai style tacos and a sushi burrito.

Forgot to add one. If you are looking for a more refined scene the bar in the Atherton Hotel on campus is very nice.

FarminCy pretty much has it covered. Do you live in Oklahoma?

I am ambivalent about Eskimo Joe's these days. It's a bar that had its heyday back in the late 70s/80s/early 90s. Now it's a family-friendly restaurant that is dead on weekend nights...the only exceptions being game days. It's a cluster then...good luck getting in and actually ordering.

I saw where your official tailgate location is - kind of an out of the mainstream place. You'll have plenty of room there, but the vast majority of tailgating activity is south of the stadium. I would suggest doing a walk by to see the busier areas. The area around Old Central (first building on campus, within view of Hideaway Pizza) and the area straight west from Joe's are the two largest areas, but you'll see tents all over the place.

As JP4Cy says, uber/lyft will be out in force. Bird and Lime scooters are everywhere now, if that's your thing.

HA! You speak the truth. "OU sucks" is kind of like an official handshake. We are hosting UT for homecoming. The frames of the displays are already up at the houses, but it's not much to look at now.

Safe travels and have a great time. Hopefully the weather decides to cooperate.

The bars on the Strip are fun. It's ridiculously similar to Campustown, but more cowboy fashion. Go to the place that has Limey's. They all kind of blend together in my mind. Typical college bars, in a good way.

We did late lunch at Eskimo Joe's on the Friday before the game. It's a fun place that has good food and plenty of beer. It won't be overrun then either.

Stonewall was easily my favorite bar in Stillwater. It's just a lot of fun, and it's close to BPS. Big giant outdoor courtyard that will be perfect for afternoon post game beers.

The DFW Cyclone club had a tailgate right next to the stadium when we went. Looks like they're farther away this, but that's a good option. Otherwise, just wander around with beer and find a spot to party.

OK State fans are really welcoming, and very similar to ISU fans. Stillwater is really similar to Ames. The old Big 8 ag schools have a lot in common, and there's a lot of camaraderie.

Where's 'the Strip' in relation to BPS?

Just wanted to thank everyone for the suggestions. The Garage and Eskimo Joe's were super packed before the game so we just got one beer at Eskimo and headed over to 'the strip'. Stonewalls was by far our favorite place. Before and after the game. It was pretty dead before but picked up some after the game. But we hit pretty much every bar and they were all pretty cool and the people were so damn nice it made me feel bad for beating them... not really:)

Went to Eskimo Joe’s to tailgate and had a blast before kickoff.

OSU fans (like OU fans) were respectful to us before and after the game.

One thing I will say though is, holy cow do OSU fans hate Oklahoma. It’s much worse than Iowa/ISU.
