OSU game environment

Pretty sure this is every football crowd in the country. It's just natural to get up and yell a little louder on third down. Unless it's a huge game or the 4th quarter of a close game, the crowd isn't going to go nuts on every down for four hours.
No, the tough stadiums do it for every defensive possession. I hate that my entire section sits on their hands until 3rd down.

Sorry, i just highly doubt this. Maybe for rivalry games. I've been to a few other stadiums. I've never seen a crowd on its feet and yelling for every defensive possession.

Sitting on the west side and looking to north end zone, it was hard to tell that the chip shot field goal was no good. Folks in SEZ saw it right away and their isolated roar soon enveloped the entire stadium. Jack Trice and surroundings just look more big time every time I come back. So cool it was a tight tense game between two of the angry 8. Stewart Mandel and other snarky national writers who put down the Big XII and say we have no future can go screw themselves.
Exactly! Looking at the around the stadium, I said to the guy sitting next to me “Look around here. Who can possibly see this and say that this school doesn’t belong in a big time conference?”

Maybe there’s more context to it but did anyone else think when the little OSU band played their school song it was super lame? Anything is better than the damn Boomer Sooner song but all I could think about was that scene from family guy

It's not exactly the most rousing fight song out there, that's for sure.

One of the drunkest fanbases with one of the most successful franchises in the NFL. Sure, I can see that. It's not the norm.

Complaints about storming the field after beating a top ten team who's had our number for years
Complaints about some tiny "overrated" chant inaudible to anyone in the stadium but that a TV mic picked up
Complaints about the crowd in a game where the TV announcers literally said their cameras were shaking

What the hell is wrong with people? Do you hate prosperity?

Sound system was much more reasonable this time to me up in section E. Maybe the wind direction?

It sure was. It was a 'very good' loud, nothing like the previous game's shocker. But I'm sure someone in the lower level on the opposite side will say something different.
Main thing, Jack Trice was rockin' ! Just curious for those out there that have gone...what is the West Virginia stadium crowd like usually? Are they pretty boisterous?

Don‘t get me wrong. Cyclone fans show up. More than we can say for many programs. I also enjoyed the game yesterday.

However, I have been to high school games where the fans yell more on first or second down. I do not think it is too much to ask to yell 50 to 70 times for 15-30 seconds (Not four hours).

Any Big 12 game should qualify as a rivalry game worth of our fan support. How cool would it be if the fans helped create even a couple false starts a game? In a game like yesterday a five yard penalty at the wrong time is a drive ender.
