Amen, brother! It warms my heart to see these tOSU people (including their coach) ******** about the refs.
Cool. Good for Richard Sherman.
If a player leads with their helmet, they could get called for targeting.
ISU had a player get tossed for much less last year in the Alamo. What primidonna did you go to then?
Sorry but I disagree with this and believe it's ruining the game. When Lawrence brings the ball down and lowers his head into the tackle he becomes a runner.
I understand a hit to the head of a defenseless receiver or launching at the head of a QB but not this.
Explain how this gets called but the hit to Smith-Marsette on the final drive of the Nebraska game doesn't?
Way too much inconsistency with the current rule interpretation.
I think I actually saw that play but don't remember the name of the player. That should have been targeting.
So yeah, if you lead with your helmet, you could get called for targeting.
That was both a launch and a hit to a defenseless receiver.
If this is allowed to exist every QB should try to connect helmets when they're going to get sacked because you always lead with your head during a tackle.
No you don't. Maybe in like 1965.
Form tackling involves using the shoulder, pad to pad.
What'd you think of Borland purposely rolling into TL there on that 3rd down? Perfectly fine B1G physical football I presume?
I'd like to see a photo of a player leading with his shoulders in front of his head.
I'd like to see a photo of a player leading with his shoulders in front of his head.
21-0 Clemson since your commentary started.I wouldn't say Clemson is playing poorly. They're just playing an elite Big 10 opponent with a pass rush and skill players they don't face in the ACC.
The Big 10 has been dominating the Pac 12 and ACC this bowl season so this isn't a surprise.
Can't give a good offense like Clemson 2nd chances. 14 points off two critical drive extending penalties.
I guess maybe OSU hasn't seen these type of skill players all season?
Launching is when you leave both of your feet and spear the offensive player.
He was just going in low on a sack and Lawrence dipped down into it.
If they keep this rule they need to change the automatic ejection. Clearly that wasn't intentionally and it cost a good player over half the game.
