If there is any truth to the rumor that Gremmel isn’t coming back, this could be a nice pickup.

Where is this rumor coming from?
I’m just repeating what I’ve seen on this message board. Supposedly he will graduate this spring and may not come back. No idea if there is any truth behind it. I hope he comes back. Love the way he competes.

No Gremmel is not leaving. I think it started because he graduated in December. At least I am pretty sure I saw stuff on Twitter related to him graduating

Makes sense to me... Traub is a nice story, but not going to be a point getter at NCAA's and there are rumors of Singletary cutting to 197. Orndorff is likely an upgrade over both at any rate.

Hoffman to 184, then?
Not sure on Hoffman. He's a bit of a wildcard... pretty good redshirt year at 184. Mixed bag this year at 184 then wrestled heavyweight to end the season. 197 is probably his best weight in college though. So who knows? The Singletary cut is just rumored at this point though.

Assuming Kharchla is their 165 next year and Smith bumps up they'll end up with 7 guys for the top 4 weights, so some good guys aren't making that lineup. Thus is life at the elites...

174: Ethan Smith, Kaleb Romero
184: Rocky Jordan, Gavin Hoffman(?), Kaleb Romero (?)
197: Gavin Hoffman, Chase Singletary(?)
285: Tate Oorndorff, Chase Singletary, Gary Traub

Referring to Chris Weiler
I have no idea if he fits in the lineup or not or if he wants to go 184 or 197. He will be a senior next year.

Any decent guys from the Old Dominion roster out there looking for a new home?

Seems like ODU has been pretty lean, as of late.

EDIT: Sorry, I should have looked further on in the thread list.
