On That Note: 'Remember' to make a 'Memory'

Pink Floyd, Free Four

One two free four

The memories of a man in his old age
Are the deeds of a man in his prime
You shuffle in the gloom of the sick room
And talk to yourself as you die

Brain Damage/Eclipse

Remembering games
And daisy chains and laughs
Got to keep the loonies on the path

Lobo, Me and You and a Dog Named Boo

I can still recall
The wheat fields of St. Paul
And the morning we got caught
Robbing from an old hen
Old McDonald, he made us work
But then he paid us for what it was worth

Joni Mitchell, Both Sides Now

I've looked at clouds from both sides now
From up and down, and still somehow
It's cloud illusions, I recall
I really don't know clouds at all

Dan Fogerty, Same Old Lang Syne; the words Old Lang Syne literally mean "old long since" but in practice it means old times fondly remembered.

I've disliked this song because it hit too close to home but Cat's In The Cradle lyrics:

As I hung up the phone, it occurred to me,
He'd grown up just like me.
