When I graduated (class of '93), we voted this as our graduation song.
Unfortunately, our principal listened to it and asked us to re-vote, and this is what we ended up with

Graduation can involve a grab-bag of emotions. Among them, “No, wait, I’m not ready yet!”
Although the lyrics skew toward younger age-range, this song encompasses that feeling to an extent.

Yeah, we had a "committee" with about 5 or 6 students, and we picked like five songs for the class to vote on (there were only about 70 of us in my graduating class).
