On That Note: Give Us Your Keys

I corroborated with Beatles Complete Discography, its description matches Beatles Bible summary.

The book comes in handy in times like these.

I will take a look. With respect to the instrumentation, on which I'm particularly curious on some things, I don't think anyone ever really kept track, and some of the references are probably guesses. Who played the great opening chords to Doctor Robert? Was that John or George? Amazing thing about the band was that at all just flowed.

I'm going to get throttled for this one. Don't care.

So. Hauntingly. Beautiful.

And Iove this one, too.

Considering I posted "Love" earlier in the thread, how I overlooked THIS one is baffling. (I don't think anyone else used it, if so, I'm re-posting).

Firmly in my top 5 for Lennon solo songs and my #1 Lennon solo ballad.

I forgot to address your specific question. My discography book shows George was the only one who played guitar on Dr. Robert, so it must be him by default. Without benefit of the reference, that would've been my best guess -- it sounds like the Rickenbacker George played during that period.

I thought maybe it was George too, but the Beatles Bible says John on rhythm guitar (albeit without any accompanying comment)(but that site has a wealth of information). So we have conflicting sources.

Interesting, I didn't cross-check that one w/ Beatles Bible.

We have a bit of a quandary :) .... we MUST get to the bottom of this! ;)

I've got an idea: We'll just ask @MeanDean. :D
