Omaha Biliew Commits to Iowa State!

Lets drink some Hawk tears:

“Maybe his dream is to contend for an NIT bid.” TDJ7

“So isu will continue to try and win games scoring 44 points. Sounds so “exciting”.” HerkyFan

“Not even close to a top 5 class” HawkOn17

“Good get but a big question is, Will this kid be on their roster at this time next year?” IsaacHarrison

“Am I reading correctly that this upcoming season will be his 4th different high school in four years?” MitchLL

They have no clue. They honestly really don’t.

What’s great about all of those comments by the Hawks is TJ has accomplished more in one season than Fran has in 12 (with the exception of winning the league tourney but since ISU has done that how many times since Fran arrived at Iowa, not that big of a deal). These comments explain why Iowa basketball is where it is- their fan base really doesn’t get how Bigboy ball works anymore- they’re stuck in 1989 thinking the same methods work. Portal??- head in the sand, hope it goes away. NIL- will be great to see how that plays out over there in the next 5 years.
I suppose you could say their fans don’t deserve Fran- he has found his niche with legacy recruits and the whole 100 mile recruiting base thing, and does good with the offensive talent he has, but without guarding every possession and keeping the ball out of the paint, Iowa will never be built for a March run. And the reality is, and this is what gets their fan base more than anything, who else are they going to get? They see themselves right up there with the Big 10 elite and since the mid-90’s, they really haven’t been that. It’s not a Michigan, MSU, Purdue, or even Wisconsin type of job anymore.

*cracks knuckles*
1) how about another Sweet 16?
2) this guy forgot about the 73 we hung on their asses in that 20 point win last December
3) a lot closer than the 43 the Hoks are putting up currently
4) we just beat out KU and the G League… who else is gonna come calling?
5) good for this guy who can read, I figured that was a sophomore level course in Iowa City

He’s so smooth. Only a sophomore there too. He’s so good he just literally dominates Iowa high school competition. They aren’t even close to his level lol
Think I saw Tamin in his Ames jersey in a few of those highlights. Very awesome we will see them on the same Iowa State team.

It’s amazing what they’ve done with legacies and local fans. If Fran could actually recruit outside of that circle, they might have something. As it is, those fans are just frustrated by the ceiling that’s on their team due to having too many slow white guys.
