Old Article Of David Sims - Interesting Article

If I remember correctly he had a minor issue with his transfer credits. OU was unwilling to hold scholarship for him while he worked it out. Then the good guys swooped in and the rest is history.

Some Juco's work and some don't. We got a good one with Sims. He's one of the main reasons our defense was able to turn the corner this year.

He was about as sure thing as JUCOs get. Oklahoma doesn't recruit just anyone. He also had the measured speed to at least provide raw talent. I thought he was going to be good last year and he was better than I thought.
 
Didn't he have a season (2008) off? I seem to remember that he was set to go there in spring or fall 2008 and there was an issue that prevented him from going. OU then passed, wanting him as 4-to-play-3 player.

Rivals says Ash recruited him, so he came under Rhoads.
