I have a group of us going down on New Year's Day and staying in Oklahoma City Bricktown area, any other Cyclones heading to the game and gathering anywhere prior to the start?

Can't do it, that Boomer-Sooner song they play every 30 seconds makes me crazy.
Have fun, and **** OU.

Will be there. I'm sure DFWCyclone will provide more details on this board, but the DFW alumni club will be meeting at The Mont in Norman for pregame.

I live in Tulsa. My wife and I (both ISU grads) will be attending with our OU grad son-in-law, our daughter and grandkids. Our tickets were their Christmas present this year. I'm braced for a stomping from OU, and will be tickled if we play competitively for the entire game. And I actually like our chances if it's close with 2 minutes on the clock. I remember last year we started off strong, then got sloppy late in the 2nd half. It was all OU from there. Our effort from the Cinnci game would be nice. We'll learn more about this team from this game.

Nice holiday touch! Is it too late for you to adopt me? I pretty much potty trained and don't eat much.

After Velo attended the football game in Norman this year we all learned it is best for ISU athletics if he doesn't follow the teams there.

1990 for Football. I also believe ISU has more ROAD wins than home wins against the Dirt Burglars. (Granted it is only 5 wins lifetime) FYI.

You are correct. ISU has only beat them at home in 1928 in the first meeting and in 1960. In Norman ISU won in 1931, 1961 and 1990.

What a sorry thing that series has been.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised to see a somewhat sparse crowd for a game between 2 top 10 teams as the Thunder play at the exact same time at home. We were able to get mid-level tickets for $22 each.

Not to mention that OU's ****** fanbase doesn't care about hoops. And added to that effect, their Orange Bowl game is on the 31st.... some of their fans could still be in Miami for the weekend too. Also, students are still out of town as well. Open seats a plenty.

I saw a tweet from an OU beat reporter who was saying that they expect a good crowd and few tickets left. Color me surprised.

I had the same misconception before moving down here. OU averaged 10,968 in 2014-2015 in an 11,500 seat arena (95%+). That's not too shabby for having an NBA team 20 miles away.
