Witnesses say that in December, Hoffman removed a nozzle from a pump at the store, sprayed fuel on the pump and set it aflame. Police say Huffman reported that he set the fire because the Earth has “too much pollution.â€￾ Police also say Huffman was at the police station hours earlier asking to be arrested and admitted to the psychiatric ward at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.
