*** Official West Virginia vs #6 IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

We are a 17.5 point favorite, which is a huge margin for a conference game. However, we're 13-2 against the spread at home and WV is 0-6 against the spread on the road.

I've got a feeling that we'll jump on them at the beginning of each half (like we do against most teams), coast to a win, and narrowly cover the spread.

However, WV has beaten Texas, Kansas, UCF, and Cincinnati this season, so we can't just show up and win.
I suspect it will be closer than most expect. WV was short people early in the year, so YTD stats can be misleading. Hopefully our team continues their focus and does not let up. We have not disappointed all year.

WV hasn't won a game outside of Morgantown this season....not even on a neutral court. Hopefully TJ can spread the minutes more evenly today and dare I say get Omaha 5-10 minutes?

I think a win will be more like this and people will freak out.

Torvik has us as 19pt favorites. I expect (hope) Lipsey plays very little and the team to have a bit of a hang over from a physical high profile game. Just human nature.

Also the way WVU plays where their high pace play could give us trouble if those shots hit. Or maybe in the later stages of the game if we have a comfortable lead bench players get more mins to give high usage players rest. Either scenario makes me doubtful we cover the 17.5 to 18.5 spread.

Thanks Rulzzz!

Closer than we might like, but still a comfortable win at home.

Iowa State 81 - 68

Lipsey gets a rest, does play, but only 16 min.

GO CYCLONES!!!
Did Lipsey re-injure his shoulder? SIAP, but has TJ or Tamin said anything about this after the Houston game?

My hillbilly buddy is going to this game. Taking his sister, his cousin, his aunt, his mom and his grandma, and only has to buy one extra ticket. Clones by ******* 50

If Pav plays a ton of minutes, we likely end up losing or sweating out a close win

That would come down to much more than Pav playing.

WV will play with house money and it will come down to ISU being patient and hopefully hitting good looks that come with it.
