NFL: ***Official Week Seven Thread***

I mean they popped the kneecap back in on camera.
Will all come down to the MRI tomorrow and if there is any ligament damage.
He's out a minimum of three weeks, according to Twitter reports. Had a compression sleeve on his leg last night because this injury can cause a lot of swelling.

As for the play call, it was the right call. Tom Brady QB sneaks it A LOT and never gets injured. Freak accident.

As for the Broncos offense vs Chiefs defense: holy crap Flacco is washed and the Denver tackles got whooped.

The reeling Chiefs @ Denver tonight. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly things can change in the NFL. Two weeks ago KC looked like a virtual lock to play the Pats in the AFC championship, and Denver appeared to be in the running for a top three draft pick. Since then Denver is 2-0 and the Chiefs are 0-2 and in danger of falling into a tie with the Raiders for first place in the West. It's pretty obvious Mahomes is really limited with that ankle injury but their bye isn't until Week Eleven. Tough two weeks after tonight with back to back home games against the Packers and Vikes.

Other games of interest:

MIN @ DET - Must-win for the Lions if they want to keep pace in the North. They've been more competitive than I thought they'd be.

HOU @ IND - Chance for the Texans to put a little distance between themselves and the rest of the division. A win for the Colts creates a two way tie for first place with Indy holding the head to head tiebreak.

NO @ CHI - The return of Mitchell Trubisky looms. Nagy has to find a way to kickstart that offense no matter who's under center. They're wasting a really good defense (again).

PHI @ DAL - Good Sunday night game. Winner takes control of the East. Interesting side note - if the Giants knock off Arizona they'll be one game back of the division leader after this weekend. Didn't see that coming.

Their bye is on week 12. Week 11 is GB, SEA, NYG, and TEN.

Flacco is hot garbage. Everyone else tees off on the Chiefs' defense, and he can't do a thing. I see why the Ravens gave up on him.

Surprising (to me, at least) that KC was able to maintain control of the game after Mahomes left. Apparently Denver is who we thought they were. (Sorry, Rulzzz.)

I can’t believe they ever even let Mahomes drop back in the pocket. Such reckless stuff. So stupid.

OK. I won't engage because I can imagine you're still pretty pissed off about the franchise maybe being done for the season. Feel better.

Huge break for KC. When you have Travis Kelce saying things like "his knee didn't look like a knee" you tend to assume the worst.

Even if Moore falls flat on his face and the Chiefs drop a few games in Mahomes' absence they should still be right in the thick of the AFC West race when he returns.

LOL. Gruden's challenge on an OPI call got shot down in about thirty seconds. Give it up, NFL coaches. They aren't gonna overturn a PI call unless someone pulls a Last Boy Scout out there.

That was clearly nothing, but replay refs have been firing off big FU’s since this started. Has a single call been overturned?

And it was clearly not OPI and should have been overturned. Just stop throwing the challenge flags, it's clear that the officials aren't taking it seriously.

I can't find the source now but earlier this week I read it was something like seven out of forty PI-related challenges have been overturned, and only one out of the last 20-some. Bottom line is that most coaches have learned not to bother. The refs aren't going to open up the can of worms that would come with overturning a PI call.
