I feel like every fan base in the NFL, including the Raiders, is bonding over watching the Antonio Brown clown show and it is a really heartwarming thing to see in 2019.
Beats all hell out of talking about Andrew Luck. I had to stay away from sports talk radio for a week.
I think Luck will slip away from the media's exposure and never really be heard from for a good while, like Megatron.
Yeah, he's not an attention seeker. There's been some talk from the local media in Indy that a comeback could be in the works down the road once he's had a chance to step away and mentally recharge, but I'm thinking that the longer he stays retired the less likely he is to come back. If he makes it though all of this season without being tempted to come back then I think he's done for good.
I think you can replace Luck/Indy with Gronk/NE and this post is still true. They'll both get tempted to come back but will they? Gronk will have to pass a drug test now that he's an open CBD user but they'll inevitably be in the Super Bowl hunt. If he comes out of retirement just to play in the playoffs every year that would be the best gig ever.
Yeah, and Gronk is still losing weight. He looks a little thinner every time he makes a public appearance. Even if he gets the itch later this season he might not be able to get back up to a safe playing weight in time to contribute.
I think both guys are done. We all know Luck's a smart guy and Gronk isn't as dumb as everyone thinks he is. They've saved their money and they both know that the pain and injuries are going to be every bit as bad if they come back.
Where is Jon Gruden during all of this? Shouldn't he be stepping in to play good cop here some time real soon?
Apparently Gronk has never ever spent his contract money. He's saved it all, only spending his endorsement money and maybe his signing bonuses. His bank account is okay with him retiring. Obviously still getting paid through endorsements.

One would think. My impression of Gruden has always been that he was pretty overrated as a coach. He's made for soundbites and image, but his Xs and Os knowledge is not as great as he gets credit for.
I think he was a pretty good offensive mind back in the mid 90s, but it's a different game now. For sure he's more of a personality or figurehead than he is a coach at this point.
Putting Atlanta's feet to the fire. They've been saying that a new contract for him is close for nearly two months now. Time to wrap things up and make Jones the highest paid WR.
