That wouldn't surprise me because the rest of the AFC looks pedestrian at best.

In fact I don't think a single AFC team had what I would call an impressive win in Week 1.

Could be. It's a long season and you never know - the Titans looked good yesterday - but the Colts should cruise to no worse than a four seed. But they need Mathis back and the OL interior play needs to be light years better if they've going to make a deep playoff run.

that one hurts a lot. It will be interesting to see how they perform in the AFC South. The Titans look to be improved. Houston is possibly better, but also they were playing Washington, so who knows. And the Jags looked good for a half. I still think Indy runs away with the division, but on the whole it's better than it was.

Hard to say after just one week, but yeah, the AFC South looks a bit better than it did last year. I still think the Colts should win it going away, but without a premier pass rusher on the roster they're going to have to get creative finding ways to get to the QB. It's going to be a huge problem if they get to January and start seeing the elite quarterbacks in the playoffs.

He'll be a 34 year old undersized speed rusher coming off a torn Achilles going into next season. I don't know how many teams would take a flier on that. My guess is that the Colts will be looking for a replacement in free agency or the draft, assuming Ryan Grigson doesn't deal their first rounder away for another underachieving player.

The thing I really like about the Colts is that team doesn't know how to quit. That alone separates them from so many other teams. Adversity just does not phase them.

Yeah, it's good that they just don't panic. Five years since Tony Dungy left town and you can still see the impression he left on the organization with his calm and steady leadership.
That said, it sure would be nice if they could get out of the blocks a bit faster so they don't have to spot the opponent a two or three score lead on a consistent basis.

Hell ******* yes - so damn true. Could not be more accurate with that.

The NFL and fans vastly underestimate just how extremely great of a coach Dungy was.
 
NFC East should have been 0-4 opening weekend if Jacksonville didn't do their best ISU impression in the 2nd half.
