***Official Week 1 NFL Thread***

The Seahawks don't flip their corners. Collinsworth said it about 100 times. It was gutless of the Packers to never throw to his side of the field.
Well there you said it. What Collinsworth says goes in one ear and out the other. I ignore everything he says.

Why would you throw to the best DB in the game? Seems like a good game plan to avoid doing that. Especially if he isn't covering your best receiver. Isn't that the point of creating mismatches?

Cutting off half the field is not a good offensive strategy. Even if they threw it a couple times to Sherman's side, it might have helped keep the defense honest.

I thought Clinton Dix didnt look very good. Lots of missed tackles it seemed to me.
He made some big plays. I won't worry about the missed tackles too much being his first NFL game. We will see what the following weeks bring. To me though, he is more capable of making plays than Morgan Burnett who played awful last night and rarely makes plays.

Right. They made themselves very easy to defend last night. Richard Sherman is a good corner, not God. Test him once or twice just to keep the field somewhat opened up.

SVP show was just talking about this. Because Green Bay was not even testing Sherman, Seattle rolled their defense to the other side. Poor game plan by the Packers. The coaching staff and Rodgers should have known better.

Pretty gutless of the Seahawks to have Sherman line up on our best receiver once the entire game.
Scoreboard?

I am by far not a Packer hater and I am not a Seahawks fan. But I did find it very comical just how pathetic of an offensive gameplan the Packers had prepared for this game. Bad, bad, bad.

Correct.

100% accurate. What GB did last night was incredibly predictable.

See above.

Yup, we're 100% in sync on this one. GB made that win pretty easy on Seattle. Never really challenged them. Only real positive thing GB did when the game was actually on the line was capitalizing on a bad Seattle muff. Otherwise, they got totally owned.

I think Seattle is the better team and had the home field advantage. But getting totally owned was a lot on an extremely weak offensive gameplan the Packers came in with.

Haha, true. I just wanted to take a jab at Sherman. I get tired of all the hype around him. I think he is a great player, just not the best. As far as the Packers gameplan it was somewhat lousy, but I thought execution was twice as lousy. Also, after Bulaga wen't down, Sherrod just did an awful job out there. The guy has zero agility and is just way too slow. Rodgers also wasn't quite in sync either with his receivers.

I've got bad news for you, then. Sounds like Bulaga tore his MCL. Sherrod might have to do for a while.

Man, Bulaga just can't seem to stay healthy. That's going to be a big loss for GB if he is indeed lost for the season.

I think the speculation was that he'd only be out a month or so, if it's a tear. If it's not torn, it might even be less

Yesterday all I heard on ESPN in the hype for the game was Rodgers is the best QB in the league (I guess Peyton's 55 TD and 5,500 yards last year was a mirage). Today they are crucifying him for not having the balls to throw at Sherman even once.
