Lineup predictions? 4-1-3-2 with Bradley as the holding mid and Villafana, Gonzalez, Cameron and Yedlin covering for his lapses?

You'd have to think the CBs will be Brooks and Cameron assuming Brooks is good to go. He left the Venezuelan friendly with a leg injury.

Wish I could have watched, but nice to get 3 points.

Can one of you guru's go through what USA has to do now to clinch?

Awesome.

So getting a result against Mexico Sunday would be huge needless to say.

But a loss isn't crippling. Would be nice to quality despite dropping 0-2 early on.

Like Ian said, there's too many moving parts still to talk about clinching scenarios. But after Sunday's match at Mexico, the US has a pretty favorable run in their last 4 matches.

We'll have already played both matches against Mexico while Costa Rica, Panama, and Honduras will all have to play Mexico once in their last 4. Our run in will have matches at home against Costa Rica and Panama, and away matches at Honduras and Trinidad.

During the Mexico game, it was mentioned that in the last 3 or 4 World Cup cycles, the 3rd place team in the Hex (automatic qualifier) has been around 13 points. Using that logic, 6 more points in the second half of the Hex will put us in a great spot. Let's get a result on Sunday

I'm having a wild and crazy Friday night so I decided to do a little research about the points of 3rd and 4th place finishers in the history of the Hex:

2014
3rd Honduras 15 pts
4th Mexico 11 pts

2010
3rd Honduras 16 pts
4th Costa Rica 16 pts

2006
3rd Costa Rica 16 pts
4th Trinidad & Tobago 13 pts

2002
3rd United States 17 pts
4th Honduras 14 pts

1998
3rd Jamaica 14 pts
4th Costa Rica 12 pts

So it looks like 13 points won't be quite enough to nail down 3rd if history bears out.

Guess I misheard, too many whiskeys during the US game. But using those numbers, looks 16 should definitely do it. Let's just win the next 3 and move on right?
