***Official USMNT Thread***

Kljestan not on the Gold Cup roster is baffling.

It was a weird roster. Pulisic was included and you'd think they'd just give him the summer off. Of course, he didn't really play as much towards the end of Dortmund's season after Reus came back from injury.

Stu Holden did mention that the roster can be changed between the group stage and knockout round, so maybe Bruce would look to bring in players like Sacha or Feilhaber at that point since he's already pretty familiar with what they bring to the table.

Yea, I'm sure there will be changes. I really liked how well Sasha and Pulisic played together last round of qualifiers.

PS. I have no idea who that is. I like watching US soccer but don't know much. I will say this Venezuelan keeper is a pansy.

I watch almost every Sounders match and I don't think Jordan Morris should be included in our top squad at this point. He is so ridiculously right-footed and his almost complete refusal to ever use his left foot is embarrassing at the international level. I'd much rather have somebody like Agudelo in camp as our #4 forward.

Does Pulisic take corners usually?

I'm pretty sure it's been his job since Bruce took over. I don't recall if he was doing it in the first 2 qualifiers under JK. I'm fine with it since Bradley's service was never all that consistent.

Yup. I say no.

I'm game. Sargent is a 17 year old forward who the U20s brought in right before their World Cup. He's scored 4 goals in the tournament so far. This match against the young Venezuelans could be interesting as they have outscored opponents 11-0 in the tournament so far.

I'm not sure who caught that Gold Cup roster news at half, but the news that Jesse Gonzalez is open to joining the US Gold Cup squad is interesting. He's a young keeper at FC Dallas, came up in their academy I believe, who has represented Mexico at youth levels. The US needs some young blood coming through in net.

Dom Dwyer, who just got US Citizenship, is listed as well.

Stu Holden noted that Jesse's agent has said they're very aware of it despite Jesse playing for Mexico's youth teams.

FC Dallas has a heck of a youth academy and they won the Supporters' Shield last year in MLS with alot of homegrown signed players. They must be doing something right (for MLS standards at least)

Really need 3 pts tonight. That would set things up nicely for the rest of the Hex. Any other result and it's tight sphincter time for the rest of the qualifiers.

Missing out on 3pts in Panama stung (badly), but they were down with injuries and suspensions for that match. We have a good chance on home turf against T&T, and the team is showing improvement each match now that Arena's back.

I'm looking forward to a little revenge with the second go around at Costa Rica and Mexico.

Hopefully one of you guys can post some updates on here as I won't be able to watch.

A win tonight would make me feel much better.
