***Official USMNT Thread***

So it didn't look like typical post games socializing. Because the teams don't know each other since the players don't play in the same leagues....

Are you saying that Brazil doesn't have somebody who plays at Oregon St?

By far our best CB's...I don't see why Jurgen can't see that.

He's a 25 year old midfielder for the Portland Timbers. I don't think he's a guy who's going to step in and become a first choice player for the USMNT. It never hurts to add depth to the player pool though.
 
Thanks. USMNT (or just soccer in general) is my chance to be "the girl" in rooting for a team. I cheer for them and want them to win, but don't really know much about the players, or really how the game is played.
 
The younger guys start their Olympic qualifying tournament tonight. U23 squads in this competition. Guys like Zelalem, Hyndman, Miazga, and Cameron Carter-Vickers are on the roster along with some good young talent from MLS. The first match is against Canada and is on NBC Universo if you get that channel. I had to do some channel hunting, but I did have it on my cable package.
 
they are announcing the squad for the Mexico game today correct? I swear to God Jurgen puts Timmy Chandler on this thing....

Just happy Fabian is back. Just find a Left Back, let Brooks and Bessler play in the middle, should be ok.

I think I read somewhere that Brooks is injured
 
Chandler is hurt too. He didn't play today for Eintracht Frankfurt, so injury might just be a good thing in this instance. Honestly, I think the best CB pairing for the US right now might be Besler and Cameron. Cameron has been a regular starter at CB with Stoke this season and has been rock solid. If we go into this match with Mexico with huge questions at CB and then don't start the one guy that's a regular in the Premier League.... I'm getting upset just thinking about JK doing something like this.

Also, the U23s play their second match in Olympic qualifying here in about an hour. I believe the only TV broadcast is on Telemundo so brush up on your Spanish if you want to watch.

This pisses me off. Can't we get these on at least ESPN the Ocho or something? Seriously If you want to grow the game in America then all national qualifying games need to be on english speaking tv.

At least they won 6-1. I mean would it really be that hard to put on ESPN 3?
