***Official USMNT Thread***

Damn... I was in Jacksonville Monday-Thursday. Really wish i could have justified staying another 2 days.... this would have been awesome to go to!

I'm loving this idea of Jones and Beckerman as defensive mids in the 4-2-3-1. Bradley is freed up from the responsibility of covering for Jones when he goes walk-about which can be quite frequently, but Jones can still do his wild card-thing because Beckerman is perfectly content to hold & destroy.

I'd much rather have Goodson on the 23 as our emergency CB instead of Omar. Given that's not the case, I honestly think I'd rather see John Brooks play in Brazil if needed instead of Omar.

Beckerman and Jones certainly help the back line. Especially with Beasley and Fabian on the outside.

Can we keep Gonzalez off the pitch? I feel like that and Dempsey getting denied mutliple times were the only problems I had with the game

I really liked the lineup yesterday. Having Beckerman in there really helps, giving Bradley true freedom to go ahead, knowing that at least one midfielder will stay home. And I really prefer DaMarcus to Timmy Chandler...I wish Chandler would have gotten it, but he just doesn't appear to be there yet. In fact, the only change I would make would be Zusi starting over Bedoya. His set pieces are better, and he always seems to make the right pass. Not as much of a scorer, but with Bradley and Fabian pushing ahead a lot, Zusi could just focus on passing into the box rather than making runs of his own.

I can't wait!!!!!

There's a bunch of clubs interested in Yedlin as well.

Pretty sure he's going over to Europe in the next 2 or 3 years but Seattle probably want to hold onto him until they can get a decent amount of money for him.

It sounds like Yedlin to AS Roma is pretty much a done deal with him remaining in Seattle on loan for a time. Interesting. Talk about cashing in on your opportunity.

I've read that it's not 100% official. I think there has to be some talk with European teams about Yedlin right now. I think MLS and Seattle are trying to see if they can get the asking price a bit higher on him. AS Roma is the only club that has been openly confirmed. Liverpool's been rumored as well.

I am nervous about him going to Italy given thier recent problems with racism. Much rather that he go to England, Spain, Germany, or France.

We have another friendly in November against Ireland. I think we have a september one coming up against Czech Republic as well.

Update on the possible move of DeAndre Yedlin, Inter Milan (Italy) and Lyon (France) have confirmed they have expressed interest in the speedy back. These two teams are usually Champions League clubs year in and year out. (For newbies, Champions League is like Soccer's NCAA March Madness)
