Kinda hope if they try the Diamond form against Nigeria that they use Beckerman.

I never got to see the game yesterday because of work. Did Beckerman come on?

it seems Bradley and Beckermen are more comfortable than Bradley and Jones in that formation. I don't doubt that Jones is the more skilled player, but Beckerman is such a calm and cool presence back there, think the young center backs feed off that calmness.

He did come on and played pretty well. Wouldnt be surprised to see him in the eleven vs Nigeria.
 
If you want to get a look at Portugal before the rumble in the jungle they play Mexico tonight (Friday) on ESPN2.
 
According to a tweet from Jeff Carlisle Howard gets his 100th cap today. Here's the lineup against Nigeria with my guess on formation based on the personnel:

Altidore
Bedoya-Bradley-Dempsey
Jones- Beckerman
Beasley-Besler-Cameron-Johnson
 
Does it seem like there's just a ridiculous number of big name players that won't be available for the World Cup due to injuries?
 
This is a better reflection of what the lineup should be. But it is still idiotic to have Bedoya in a 4-2-3-1 instead of Donovan.
