I could see Swanigan going to Cal. Besides playing with Rabb and Brown it seems Cuonzo Martin has a good relationship with Swanigan's guardian Roosevelt Barnes.
I don't know for sure, but I don't think ISU was ever involved at all. Just thought it was interesting that a top 20 big man committed to a quality program came available this late. Not sure it would be a good fit for ISU, since he is a center.......conflicts with McKay's position.
ISU recruited him out of HS. Looked solid in limited minutes for the huskies in a couple of game I saw.

Pretty much 0 chance we show interest (SJ and Matt might, like you said). Last thing we need with our open scholarship is another would be JR guard for 2016, this one who can't seem to shoot the 3 (0-17 last year)...If we take a 2016 eligible transfer, bank on a big, or at least a swingman/PF

Really? I'd be surprised if there's no interest. He is a high caliber wing and his shooting would improve with the sit out year.
Don't understand it myself. Not as if Wichita State has had any recent success in the NCAA tournament.
High caliber wing? He is 6'4 and apparently can't shoot from outside......
