We'd still have 1 scholarship left. Are we going after any other HS recruits other than Diallo?
I would say we'll take this year:
-One immediately eligible transfer (Burton would satisfy even sitting out 1st semester)
-Diallo (OBVIOUSLY)
-One transfer who can sit out next year and be ready to step in when we lose Niang, McKay, Naz, Nader and possibly Morris
If we miss on Diallo, or if someone else decides to leave, then we probably bank one to use in unforeseen situations like this/McKay/Dillon Brooks/etc

The Rhode Island big man is interesting. Big, talented guy with non-talent related resume issues that would help fill the post needs in 2016. He is originally from Michigan so maybe Mann has a connection.

Keeping a spot open is not about getting good players, but rather it is about getting better players. It is not signing Bluford in April so that you don't lose Armardi in order to get Kane. It would have been nice to have had a chance at a guy like Dillon Brooks. He would be getting more than minutes with the walk-ons
It won't go unused for a year. It likely would go to a summer, unconventional signing, or midseason transfers. Not any difference between a guy buried on the bench and keeping a spot open IMO.
Prolly depends if he is going to try and transfer for the spring semester or wait till the offseason but, I could see the Staff having interest.

There's some buzz on Twitter that Kuran Iverson is on his way out at Memphis. I seem to recall us recruiting him out of high school, and he's from the Northeast so he'd be in Matt A. territory. Top 40 recruit out of high school.

Two new names to add, both are talented guards who have had some issues with their programs in their past. Not sure if they'd pass Fred's vetting process. Especially Iverson. who is very talented but has had issues like calling out Pastner on twitter while suspended. He hasn't really produced to his ranking up to this point but, if anyone could right the ship it'd be Fred.

Pretty sure he is not averaging 7 blocks per game...

He's only averaging 7.5 ppg this season and has seen his minutes go down the past 2 seasons, but with Duke you never know if that has anything to do with being recruited over or not. If Hoiberg thinks he can still be the guy he was in his freshman year than I think there is a chance we could offer him.

Not sure. Based on his assist numbers it doesn't appear so, but Monte's numbers have been so freakishly high It's hard to tell just by looking at stats.

Sounds like he can play the point a bit (plus the 2/3), has a decent 3-pt %, and made the Freshman All-ACC team. I doubt he adequately replaces MM if he leaves after next year. Here's some info on his Duke career:
