*** Official "The Open" thread ***

Spieth seems to let his emotions get into his game a bit often. I think he needs to harden up a little bit mentally, and maybe he's starting to do that.
If you watch him closely, there may not be a caddie on the tour more important to a golfers success than Jordan’s. He’s constantly saying the right things to Spieth to get Jordan’s head right.

Lowry really cooled off on the back nine. Not sure how the weather was so I don't know if that had something to do with it. He was 6 under on his first 10 holes then had 2 bogies in the last 8.
Good leaderboard going into the weekend. Lots of players have a shot at it.

Speith's last in the field in fairways hit, that'll take a big bite today, tomorrow or both.

Good weather thus far today. Weather suppose to be BAD Sunday.

Really pulling for Dylan Frittelli...always like to see the John Deere Classic winner go over and do well at The Open. He seems like a really good dude too.

I don't remember which Golf Channel guy said it, but the quote went something like this. "Michael Greller was a 5th grade teacher, which probably prepared him well to be Jordan's caddie."

It's nice having JB Holmes in the final group. I can watch some of the tournament, go play 18 holes of my own, have dinner, come home and watch the last six holes.

Koepka can't buy a putt this week and is somehow still somewhat in it.

4th Round has started. Judging by what I see on the live stream the weather doesn't look bad. Checking the radar there seems to be weather moving in. It's just a matter of what time it hits.

As of now doesn't appear there is going to be much drama today.
