***Official Texas Tech prediction thread***

People calling for more than one score victory for ISU are extremely optimistic.

I think TTU is pretty good, by the looks a top half of the B12 for sure but not as good as OU or Baylor.

ISU winning would be an upset for sure I think TTU is -16 (ish) so a double digit fav.

I think the key to the game is SammyQB and his mobility after appearing to reinjure the ankle after the jobbing against UT. If Sam is 75%+ ISU will make this a game at least and it will come down to the 4th quarter.

If Sam is hobbled (think Iowa) then its going to be ugly because the offense HAS to help the defense by burning some clock and score at least 28 pts.

My prediction

TTU 31
ISU 21

Isu will win this game. Our offense will have nearly 500 yds and wimberly will break 150 yds rushing.

Isu-38
TT- 21

we will then go on to beat Baylor along with KSU, OSU, KU and WV.

I was starting to believe until I read the highlighted portion. I have been pleased with the progress the team is making but to think this team will even come close to hanging with Baylor let alone winning against Baylor is crazy. Baylor may hang 80 to 90 points on the Clones.

ISU 27 TT 23.

The D is getting better every week, and if they can force a couple turnovers and Mess keeps feeding Wimberly the ball on offense, they can get a little payback for the home loss last season.

One thing that won't happen is Wimberly getting 150+ on the ground. He'll be lucky to break 100 again, TTU may have the best front 7 ISU has faced all year so far. If anything, an aerial attack and Sam getting yards out of broken plays will be the method of moving the ball Saturday.

Score stated previously (unrealistic): ISU 41 TTU 16

I honestly wonder what our front 7 would look like if we played their schedule so far? I would take our offensive line over anyone they have played.

Isnt this exactly what was said in 2011? Plus the best team they have faced is TCU and their offence looks horrid.

The coaches opt to run the ball to control clock and limit TT. Sam has a tough day and goes down in the second quarter. GR makes his Big 12 debut and shows his knack for scrambling. ISU wins this one because of a defensive pick 6 late in the game. Final score ISU 24 Tech 21. This one is all heart. Way to go State.

ISU-21
TTU-20

Defense plays solid and scores has a pick 6. Offense struggles and needs a late touchdown to pull it out.

Full on homer pick.

Iowa State 34

Texas Tech 27

If we win the turnover battle, I predict ISU 52-38 TTU.

If we don't, I predict TTU 24-13 ISU.
