***official Texas postgame thread***

I love this board, it's my fn psychologist after games like these. Gonna go have a "calm down beer" and head to bed. Peace out.

p.s. I think we'll do something special in the tourney

Your "calm down beer" must be bong water if you think we'll do something special after that performance. However, pass it my way, I could use a swig.

Have we taken a charge once this season? I don't recall very many.

I think this game will serve as a nice wake up call, and we will play well in the tourney. And look on the brightside...when we beat Kentucky we will have the easiest path to the title.

Already mentioned and goes without saying, but they did not show up. We are Iowa State, you NEVER show up and win just by the name on the front of your shirt.

And, that can't guard me crap by Royce is just that, crap.

I thought Allen wasn't too bad down the stretch, when he dribbled it off his foot it was already over....Scotty was bad all night

This post is so full of wrong.

Perhaps a bit over-dramatic, but there is truth in his post.

Texas has a team full of athletes...that's why they were able to make a game of it despite all their injuries. When playing a team with good athletic talent, one can't be turning the ball over all night and taking stupid shots, thus giving the athletes more opportunities to make plays. UT's athletes made plays when it counted.

And Barnes did outcoach Hoiberg. CFH is still learning, but one area where he seems to struggle is finding ways to break the momentum of other teams when they go on a run.

The only positive thing that I took away at the end was that the guys looked ******. They know they played like ****. Hopefully they respond for the big dance, but man..couldnt of been a more frustrating game..

Here's to the big dance..

Bring on the NCAA tourny, you can learn more from a loss sometimes than you can from a victory. I think this may be a great chance for CFH to light a fire of humility into our team and get there heads straight in time for the big dance.

I am disappointed with alot of things in tonights game, there is a list as long as my arm. I just hope that we take tonights loss and learn how NOT to repeat them.

I just took a drink out of my spitter. Everyone can talk about a bad game but nothing in the world of warcraft is worse than taking a swill of your own chew spit. /thread.

Glad we made the tourney, but that's all it is: we're in. Yay. One or two rounds max and we're done: we all know that.

Good season, wait for next year.

i wish we would have never beat baylor..... we had no will to win tonight... I would rather be on the bubble.... I WOULD RATHER WIN THE BIG 12 TOURNAMENT THEN GET TO THE SWEET 16....

Some of them were about to cry. They wanted it, but I don't think it registered until the end of the game.

I hope they regroup and are able to do something in the post season.

I disagree about the refs. No question we played like we were entitled to win this game and played flat, but the fouls were 10 to 3 in the first half in favor of Texas and we were drawing all kinds of contact around the rim but couldn't get a call. 2nd half wasn't quite as bad, but they missed a load of travels. Yet, we could have and should have won even with the s****y reffing, but we had no passion to get it done. So let down right now.

I'm sorry if this offends, but if you have watched college basketball in the last, say 30 years, you will notice a trend. Teams that play hard and with passion get the calls. Teams that stand around and reach get called for questionable fouls. Happens every game, year after year.

We lost because we were too cool. No passion at all. Watch the Texas huddle and they were looking at each other, talking, eyes wide open. Watch our huddle, and guys just shuffled back to the sideline, guys looking away while Fred talked, noone even paying attention. As I said before, Fred needs to see that, pull the a guy, chew his ***, and make him watch until he is ready to go in and play hard.

And what happened to the inside out offense. We had a stretch this season when we won some games where the offense ran through Royce in the post. He got it, read the defense, and made a pass that lead points or to a pass that lead to points. Tonight, it was back to everyone standing around the 3 point line, pass it around, then someone casting up a 3. Disappointing. The only upside is we will be underdogs in our first round game, and maybe we play hard and cover.

In 7 years I have YET to see ISU win a SINGLE ******* BIG XII TOURNY GAME. For God's sake, how ******* hard could it be????? God ******.

We sure as hell better make the NCAAs.

Dude, are you serious? Do you have any idea what it takes to get into the tourney? We're a lock, for sure, no if-ands-or-buts. We're in. Chill. We had a bad game. Don't lose your mind on us....

Wow. Are ISU fans really as pathetic as most of these posts indicate? I'm disappointed, too, but man, you people are flat out embarassing! Great season, horrible game. Not how I wanted to see it go and sucks to travel all the way to KC to witness this kind of effort. But really? Move on ...
