This team is clueless. And Diante is terrible.

We couldn't pass to a wide open man underneath the basket if the fate of the universe depended on it.

And Gilstrap keeping the ball and shooting an awkward, leaning, contested shot on a 4 on 1 fastbreak just shows how little basketball IQ many of these players have. Awful basketball.

Or being taught what to do.

Well, I hope not, but we're going to have to bust our butts on defense and keep constant motion on offense to give ourselves a chance to win. If we can just limit any runs and maybe put one together, we can do this. We can't let them go on a 8-0 run or anything like that though.

Maybe we are trying a new strategy of playing our crappy 10 minutes per game at the beginning of the game.

If the preceding games are any indication of what will happen, we'll get smoked the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half, fight back and make it respectable in the end before losing by 8-12 points.

I know... I'm trying to play the positive card for once. And you know what? It's not really working so far.

This is kind of sad, but I just looked up home loss records. Between 1998-1999 and 2005-2006 we lost 21 games at home total (that's both Eustachy AND Morgan's full time at ISU). Since McDermott took over, we have lost 21 games at home too..in half the years as Eustachy and Morgan combined.

I actually side with McD. In the real world which is only a year away for this kid, you only get 2-3 personal days for funerals that dont' include your mom or dad.

Not cruel... McD actually wanted some accountability out of one of his players. Not much to ask. I would even have enough thought to call my employer and let keep them updated on things.
