***Official OSU @ Iowa State Game Thread***

This team is clueless. And Diante is terrible.

We couldn't pass to a wide open man underneath the basket if the fate of the universe depended on it.

And Gilstrap keeping the ball and shooting an awkward, leaning, contested shot on a 4 on 1 fastbreak just shows how little basketball IQ many of these players have. Awful basketball.
 
Hope we come out with a run. If we could only come out and blow a team out, maybe this team might get some confidence.
 
At least we did a better job the last 5 minutes or so on guarding Corky.

I was wondering the same thing...but it is what we continue to run every game before halftime...great play when you have Tinsley as your point guard, TERRIBLE play when DG is handling the ball...here's an idea, let Brackins get a touch in your final possesion! Anyone else notice we went on our run with DG on the bench!?!

I would have to agree the guard play hasn't seemed to mesh up real well with the post play this year . Maybe we could play some 6 on 6 old school girls style - put DG, Ham and Christopherson on the Defensive end and Colvin, Brakins and Strap on the offensive end. I think we would score some points!

Because I think McD felt betrayed because no comunication about the change in funeral dates and not coming back in a timely manner.

Haha yeah that shot led to a long explanation to the girlfriend about what basketball IQ is. I doubt she listened to it all.

I don't mind the isolation, but for god sake start it with more than 5 or 6 seconds left, if we leave them a couple seconds, so be it
 
DG will be our first 4 year point guard I can remember in recent history. Yet, he hasn't imporved much at all compared to guards of the past.

The run w/o Garrett running the point happens a lot. I still don't mind him as the de facto 2 in a three guard lineup.
 
The poor shot selection is the issue that really ticks me off. Every night. We waste 10-12 possessions a game and it probably has cost us 4-5 wins.
