seems weird none of the original music from Django got nominated, best soundtrack I've heard in over a decade and unlike most QT movies much of it was original music
Ang Lee and Life of Pi?? Didn't see it but things must get weird between the kid and tiger like brokeback

I haven't seen Life of Pi, but from what I've heard everyone was saying that the story was unfilmable, so if he pulled it off maybe he deserved it? Argo was great though.
Well I don't mean that he should have won it for sure I guess, but to not be nominated was a joke.
Well there I go not paying close attention again, I thought he was nominated. That is ridiculous.

Her fall and post acceptance interview sealed the deal for me. I want to marry Jennifer Lawrence. Very few actresses are that real, especially in public. Most are too concerned with "grace" and "elegance" in Hollywood's sense of those terms. Lawrence doesn't fit that mold in the slightest. She's a klutz, she talks about farting and other mundane experiences that actresses are supposed to be better than.
Personally, the way she handled herself after the fall, both on stage and in the interview, was a greater display of grace than anything else I've seen from an actress. And I love that she lets all of that show through as Jennifer Lawrence, the celebrity, and not just Jennifer Lawrence, the person none of us ever see.
