I would say they are following our thread since this is official, but since it's tape delayed I guess they aren't.
That's part of it. Part of it, as explained during some of the soccer games, is Olympic soccer is essentially an "Under 23" tournament, although allowing 3 (or is it 5?) older players. That, and the only reason why Great Britain even has a team this time around is because they're hosting it. Britain finds it almost impossible to field a team for any Olympics because of the four separate soccer federations (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) typically recommend their players not participate in the Olympics. It has been decades since Britain has fielded a team because of this.
As far as Becks, he doesn't really even play for England anymore.
That's true I forgot about that, I think it's 3 players. Olympics soccer is not really that important to most people I don't think.

Probably for the same reason why USA lets American Samoa to fly their own flag at the Olympics - makes them feel important.
Maybe. They were after the C's and before the D's, and the ticker just labeled them as North Korea.
Every other country might as well quit in mens basketball...there is NO way they lose one game. LeBron, Kobe, Kevin Durant..yeah not even close people.
