NFL: ***Official NFL Draft Thread***

I guess it depends how long he stays out there. Right now I'll lean towards Houston since I have no idea who their starting QB is.

I was listening to one of the national shows today, and they had accounts from an NFL scout basically saying that he's got a great arm, but there's nothing he did at Baylor that translates to the NFL. He'll basically be starting at square one on the learning curve. If that's the prevailing attitude, it explains why he hasn't been taken yet

I think the same thing about Mariotta. I still can't believe how teams were drooling for the guy and willing to trade up to get him.

I'm liking the Broncos draft so far. They addressed areas of needs in Rounds 2 and 3. They took a chance on Ray but if he keeps his head on straight, he could be a great player

I guess you could say Petty is Free Falling

I'm not a big fan of the Chris Conley pick by the Chiefs. Obviously he had insane combine numbers, but I don't think he's that good of a receiver to use a 3rd round pick on him. Hope he proves me wrong

Yeah me either. A 4.35 is impressive but we already have a burner with DAT. I would've rather they trade up 5 picks earlier and got Jaelen Strong or Lockett

Any fellow Packer fans out there??

Packers have had kind of a strange draft so far IMO. I know they're losing Tramon Williams in the secondary, so I'm not all that surprised by the first two picks, taking a nickel safety/corner guy with the first pick, and a true corner with the 2nd pick. However, I feel like they probably could have gotten both of these guys much lower than where they took them?

Their first pick seems like a playmaking ball hawk kind of safety/corner. Not the best tackler in the world, but makes a lot of plays on the ball. I'm all for that.

And then with their 3rd pick, they go WR with Ty Montgomery. I love Ty Montgomery, I think he'll be good in the league, but WR didn't seem like much of a need at all IMO. But, the best ILB were all gone, so maybe they just went with the best player available? TE is more of a need than WR though. I wish they could have gotten Maxx Williams, the TE from the Gophers, I think he's going to be really good. But he was gone before their 3rd pick.

The good thing is... the Packers didn't really have a lot of needs, so they can kind of just take the best player available. They do need to replace AJ Hawk somehow though.

Jets have had a terrific run in free agency and Draft this offseason, they are going to be a lot better this year.

BUT then you remember their QB competition will be Geno vs. Bryce Petty. Lulz.

Their defense should be outstanding, but I still dont see them putting up many points.

As a Bucs fan, I really hope they don't pick Winston. I can't root for a team with that **** bag playing on it.

Bucs fan also. I'm willing to give him a chance. Seems like he did some growing up after shouting out some swear word on campus (which is pretty trivial imho). If he has one **** - up then I'm done with his ***.

The juxtaposition of Bret Bielema sitting between the skinny blonde host and a svelte Pat Fitzgerald on the NFL network is pretty funny.

They even give him extra depth from the camera so he doesn't look so ******* fat.
