Yeah, I agree with this one. Iowa wouldn't stand a chance against the mighty NDSU. But this is a thread for predicting the Iowa State-NDSU game.

After the UNI debacle last year, Im not predicting this game.

...same here...I need to see an ISU team that can at least stabilize things up front against a D-1AA team (yep, that's what I'm calling it because that's what it is) instead of getting beat up, regardless of how good that team is.

i do think we are putting too much worry in a team that is replacing 17 starters. I just pray we get through the game with no major injuries. It seems like we always lose at least one guy for an extended amount of time every opening game.

Smart guys. I'm looking for Bibbs, Wimberly & West to shine. Our defense will be adequate against their brand new O-line & QB.

There was a poster who said this game feels like the Tulsa game from two years ago. I feel pretty much the same way, and see a very similar scoreline as well.

I love the Cyclones and I hope I'm wrong but we've just been through this so many times only to have our team not show up in its opener. Last year it was "quiet confidence," this year it's "we like our flow" and "we love our schedule." I'm excited but at the same time very apprehensive that we're facing a championship team that has every right to expect to come here and beat us. I'm not throwing out a score but I'm very afraid a week from now we're going to be scratching our heads and feeling deflated. God, I hope I'm wrong, I really do.
