***Official Melt UP thread***

I hope I'm not getting ahead of myself, but this ISU team comes as close to the Tinsley-Horton-Fizer team as any ISU team I've seen. Lipsey and Holmes are so strong and hard to defend. We lead the nation in turnover margin. That's saying a lot. Love the way Lipsey can feed the ball into Osun (or Jones). Osun can't play 40 minutes like Fizer did, but he is super efficient when he's in there. Kalsheur and Grill are shooting with the most confidence they've ever had. Jones and King are both solid rebounders and have the size we need to compete with the big boys.

That Fizer team wasn't very deep and ultimately that was their Achilles heel in the game against Mich St. This ISU team is deep but still manages to get into foul trouble too often so we will have to see if that's a problem come tourney time.

I think TJ has done a great job managing the lineup and drawing up plays. Jones puts himself in great position to score but he has trouble finishing. My 2 cents. I wonder if he should start laying it over the front/side of the rim rather than using the backboard? There's still a lot of basketball left and I'm looking forward to seeing what these guys can do down the stretch.
Bob just needs to pass it if he can’t dunk it.

Great to see Kunc back, and great to see Tamin is at least showing willingness to launch a few wide open 3's. He's going to have to force defenses to respect it in order to maximize what he can do for this team. Hope he can keep working on it, TJ can continue to instill the confidence in him, and eventually see some go thru the net.

It was great to see Bill Self jump up and start his walk to TJ with 12 seconds to go in the game. He seemed very happy...

We still play the first place team. We still control our own destiny.

It would help if Self could get KU past UT Monday night. We are going to need some help to knock that team off it’s perch. K State tried but had a rough second half.

Agree, I dont' think we will go undefeated here on out, but if we manage to do it, we are in first place. I think the champ is for sure going to have 4 losses and won't be surprised if there is a tie with 5.

Moving up three spots in the NET to #12 is nice.
Still don’t know how St. Mary’s and UConn are ranked where they are however.
