Talley was incredibly good, and in all facets of the game. He locked down one of WVU’s best scorers.

Lard also played awesome. He is such a smooth player. Rebounds high and has soft hands.

I think the refs were pretty good - yes they could have called more fouls on WV but overall were a non-factor.

Games like this show the potential. Our potential will start to become more normal.

Some of the individual plays like how dominant they were blocking shots and Lard's feet are very encouraging.

Would be fun to see a bit of a run to end the season.

I think that everyone stepped up without Nick, and I think it also pulled us out of our routine. Different guys in different spots making different decisions.

SHAME ON ME!! I didn't give this team a 1% chance of winning tonight. Kudos to Coach Prohm and the staff and the guys. That team was prepared, especially considering first game w/o Babb. Helps when the ball goes in the hole, too, obviously. (Only tiny disappointment........was listening to the announcers constantly question the failures of West Virginia vs. giving us most of the credit for their play. Sure WV has lost 4 of 5 or whatever it is, but in those losses to KU, and Kentucky for example, they had 14 pt. leads in both of them in the second half. Tonight the Cyclones never gave them the lead!!!! Awesome!)

Yeah, they're interesting if nothing else. Either lose by 20 or win by 20, vs. ranked teams, to boot.

I remember fading out of interest in McD's teams by January just because you knew what you were going to get.

Don't know what CSP told them after the UT debacle, but they came out prepared, loose, focused, and energetic. Didn't think I would see Huggy get so outcoached and the WV team so outplayed. But that's what happened on a Wednesday night in Ames.

What exactly was Beverly DOING when he hit that baseline jumper, spot up 3 and give good minutes when there was a bit of foul trouble?
