***Official KSU at ISU POSTGAME THREAD***

What makes a loss in a loosing season even more miserable?

Dress your players and fans up in pink so that they look even more like pushovers.
Did they have to go with the pink tennis shoes? How fru fru.

i really liked the silver numbers. that should stay in my opinion.

How ignorant. You realize that was for breast cancer awareness don't you.

Pathetic post.

I would bet my house that Mac addresses these in practice. At some point it is up to the players to execute and NOT turn it over or make the same dumb mistakes.

I'll say it again, coaching did NOT cost us this game. I've been hard on Mac a lot over the past few weeks but only when I feel its deserved. Today it isn't deserved.

What's your explanation for coming out and laying a turd to start the second half,...............AGAIN.

We could really use some big time scoring from the 2 guard spot.

We also could use more than 4 ppg that Dendy has given us in the last couple weeks

My positive comments for the game:
Brackins showed what made him a possible lottery pick last season.
Gilstrap impressed once again.

The other players on the team really didn't look too bad for the most part.

I wonder what could be holding the team back????

Mac had NOTHING to do with this loss. This was one of the best games I've seen our team play all year.

Just couldn't get it done from behind the arc, missed lay-ups, and costly turnovers again.

Really? So even though we see it time after time that the team comes out flat to start the 2nd half, and they did that again today and got out-scored 17-4 within the first 5 minutes, you think the head coach has nothing to do with it? He waited for his team to make 4 turnovers before he called a timeout to try and get their heads straight. If this would have been the first time we have all seen it happen, you might have a case. Unfortunately, we have all seen it several times this year, and many times over the last 4 years. Nothing new, and it doesn't matter what players are on the floor.

It's kind of unreal how teams seem to have an uncanny ability to steal any type of momentum we have. We get it down to 4 after the 17-4 run to start the second half, Hilton is loud, Martin calls a timeout, and all of a sudden they go on an 8-0 run in the next minute of play.

So what is a coach for if he can't get a team to follow and execute? Good coaches find a way no matter what. He has a tough road ahead of him, and if he can get the kids to turn around and not "make the same dumb mistakes" than he will be fine. Until then...people are going to have their doubts about whether he can get it done here or not.

There is the key phrase. Some would call this good coaching.

just got home, and this probably isn't how I'll feel about the game in a while, but we were horrible...in the first half of the second half. Those turnovers were inexcusable. The three point shooting, well, I expect better than that out of a high school team. The reffing was horrible. Did todays zebras even know what traveling is? And don't even get me started on the rampant fouling by KSU the entire second half. It seemed like every time we got the ball and were going for a basket, they would not only foul, but foul hard enough that one of our players ended up on the ground. Terrible. On the plus side, if we improve our 3pt % and can hold on to the ball, we have something. We just need to stop being complacent in the first few minutes of the second half. If what is being said in the locker room isn't working, something else needs to be said. If that has been tried, just try throwing on some angry music. If that has been tried and doesn't work, try playing sweet caroline. If that has been tried and doesn't work, next year really scares me.

Fixed it for you.

Enginerd, you are totally out of line and owe Frank Martin an apology. No one chooses their parents. The only things we can really control in this world are our thoughts, words, and actions. Your words do not say good things about you.

Maybe but we can control the amount of product we put in our hair and the size of shoulder pads we wear with our suits. I think you misinterpreted my post which ironically does not say good things about you and your thought process. It appears you equate greaseball to cuban. Pretty offensive. BTW - have you ever sat close enough to St. Greaseball to hear his "control" of "words"?
