NFL: ***Official Kansas City Chiefs Thread***

Was driving today so didn't see the game but looks like the piss poor defense was behind this loss. Teams are figuring out the best way to beat the Chiefs is keep Mahomes off the field by chewing up clock by running the football. The Colts last week did it, the Chiefs knew they were going to run and still could not stop them. Texans racked up 192 yards for 4.7 a carry today.

Until they improve the defense the only way the Chiefs win games is by putting up a bunch of points. Their offense may be one of the best units in the NFL but if the defense cant make stops they will have to gets points most possessions just to keep pace.

I thought you guys got screwed on the Mahomes interception call in the second. 24 hours after the fact and I still don't really understand what happened there. It wasn't the only reason the lost, but it was a bad call all the same.

I knew the Colts had given the league a blueprint to beat the Chiefs the week before, but I honestly didn't think the Texans had the personnel to execute it.

The call on the INT and Reid trying to get a FG with 20 seconds left causing a strip sack fumble that led to a TD.

I think Mahomes honestly threw that ball because he knew Kelce was going to draw a flag and there was no consequence. The refs trying to say the hold took place while the ball was in the air is complete BS.

Brett Veach sucks. Outside of drafting Mahomes, which he gets some but not all of the credit for, almost all of his moves have been TERRIBLE. Frank Clark $100M, Anthony Hitchens signing, Sammy Watkins signing, almost every draft pick he has sucks except maybe Hardman and Thornhill (who had a stupid INT yesterday), hiring Spags has absolutely got us no where. The list goes on and on.

I think that's exactly what happened. He saw Kelce get taken down and knew (or at least thought) he had a free shot and he took it.

Refs were garbage.
The missed offensive PI call on Kelce.
The next called PI call on Kelce.
The missed PI that KC challenged.
Get rid of review able pass interference if your not going to change blatantly wrong calls.

Unfortunately lost home field advantage for playoffs minus a major let down by New England (do they have a team with a pulse on the schedule?)... however have been one of the better road teams the last few years.

The Chiefs defense sucks. Ranks in the bottom third of nearly every category. Spags is a gawd-awful DC (and there was a lot of talk about that when they hired him). We're going to end up wasting Mahomes time in KC because of the sucky defense.

Were they down any defensive starters yesterday? I know Jones was iffy earlier in the week; he's a pretty big part of the front four.

Jones was out yesterday, but he played against the Dolts. Same game plan. Make Mahomes sit on the bench. Our DBs play off the ball too far. Teams dink and dunk their way up the field.

I can almost assure they are making a splash at the trade deadline, but at this point, i'm not sure who you get that can help. Even spending a first on Ramsey or Peterson does nothing for the rush defense... and not sure how you upgrade rush defense at this point without 3-4 new players.

A good article this morning - they're making every opponent's running back look like an all-star. Two straight losses at home...…...
