***Official K-State Hate Thread***

Everyone said the same thing when Martin took over for Huggins. And do you really want to compare the two basketball programs? KSU's puts ISU's to shame.

Weber has failed at getting quality recruits after a final four when they were in his backyard. You think he'll persuade good players to go to Kansas if they aren't playing in Lawrence?

That's a valid point right there. I thought the same thing when Martin took over, but Martin was a good coach. However, Weber is far from Martin and has documented that he can only be successful with other people's players (Illinois) or playing slow-down grind it out half court ball with southern illinois.

i hate purple kansas as much as the next guy, but this statement really doesn't hold water. he has coached at two schools prior to purple kansas and did have success at both programs with his own recruits. southern illinois won their conference in both his 4th and 5th seasons as head coach with two NCAA appearances (one sweet 16). at illinois, he tied for 2nd place in the conference in his 6th season. although he did kind of peter out after that, you cannot say he hasn't had success with his own recruits.

I don't know, maybe because it's the conference we're currently in? Logical thinking must be a PhD course at Manhattan Community College.

Ironic then that cyguytillidie posted this a few pages ago:

KState fans don't believe in history pre-90s.

So we shouldn't point out successes in the Big 12 era but ISU fans can. Makes sense.

And I'm sure you were laughing at the Big 10 touting Nebraska's conference championships and claiming Nebraska's national titles as their own. We're talking about the Big 12 here. We aren't talking about conference titles won in the Big 8, Big 7, Big 6, etc. because it's not relevant anymore. Yes, you can talk about the past, such as overall program success, but to tout conference titles won in different conference is just asinine.

It'd be like TCU coming in and holding their 17 conference titles in Football over your head. Were any of them in the Big 12? No, so nobody gives a ****.

Yo Cat, do you know any good flood aggie jokes?

I was talking about overall program success. That doesn't just include the Big 12. Obviously we are in the Big 12 era, but that doesn't mean past titles before the Big 6,7,8 expanded to 12 are irrelevant. Congrats on your two Big 12 titles but when talking about overall program success as I was, KSU puts ISU to shame.

The NU and TCU comparisons are dumb. They completely switched conferences. The Big 6,7,8 was the former Big 12 with mostly the same schools for years. TCU and NU switched to completely new conferences and sometimes played teams that they hadn't played or hardly had played before.

So according to you, all times series records don't really matter because only what has happened in the Big 12 era people care about. I don't get that.

All time series records DO count. Boasting titles from another conference/era is stupid. Would you claim San Francisco is a better program than Syracuse or Arizona or *gasp* K-State? After all, they did win 2 national titles back in the 1950's.

K-State fans are just like Nebraska fans. Living in the past when it's irrelevant. We're in the Big 12, and have been for 16 years, yet you want to talk about titles won pre-Big 12 days.

There is just too much awesome going on in this picture.

An ISU basketball player has never peed in a towel on the bench during a game. That's all that needs to be said.

KSU - go gag on a donkey schlong and end your miserable existence.
