*** OFFICIAL ISU VS KSU POST GAME THREAD ***

Anyone know where I could watch a replay on-line? I'm in the doghouse for forgetting to record the game.

I was in balcony best part of today was after our flag guy does his run some *-bag KSU fan from a group that was high in 225 starts to run around with a Dom. Flag and an ISU fan grabbed it.

Except you. You're a terrible fan.

Wow... you told me, didn't you. You really put me in my place. I'm a terrible fan according to someone that doesn't even know me. I'm scared now.

Geeesh. Can we please grow up a little? Are you 10?

I'm a terrible fan because of what exactly? Because I rip the team's effort in a loss against one of the worst teams in the entire nation? Ok. Whatever.

You don't understand what a true fan is do you? A true fan is passionate about their team, in both wins and losses, but they are even more passionate about their school in this case. I graduated from ISU. I love ISU more than you could ever know. So don't tell me what kind of fan I am. I call things as I see them. We stunk at TT. And it appears the team agrees with me since they had a team meeting about it. I'm not about to sugarcoat a loss to a horrible team like TT. Sorry. I probably care too much, but that doesn't make me a terrible fan.

Key to today's win? REBOUNDING! We rebounded MUCH better than we have the last few games. We rebound against TT like we did today, and we win that game, regardless of everything else. Rebounding even allows you to shoot terrible at the FT line and still win. (not that I want to see a sub-50% FT shooting game again)

Two other key stats for ISU:

28 points in the paint and 22 FTAs.

Points in the paint take pressure off of the outside shooting game. I'd still like to see that number in the mid 30's+, but certainly an improvement over the TTU game.

FTAs are usually easy points, break the action, and don't let the opposition go on long point runs. Now, ISU just needs to convert about 75%+ to take full advantage.

Great effort by the team, and I hope they can carry it to OSU!

W vs Baylor
W vs Oklahoma
W vs TCU
W vs Tech
W vs Okie St.

then win 2/3 of

W vs Kansas
W @ Texas
W @ WVU

==21 wins==likely in.

+ 1 B12 Tourney win= lock.

11-7/21-10 is looking like the hump number, unless KSU, OU, OSU and Baylor all somehow start circling the drain.

I think simplest path is:
Win out at home: KU OU BU OSU Tech TCU
Win on the road against the best team among KSU/OU/OSU/Baylor.

That still leaves potential weak losses at UT and WVa, but those are on the road, there'd be enough quality wins without those and RPI would be in unassailable range.
(In with or without the Big 12 tournament win, but that's just part of my tournament-bid m.o.)

I'm not 100% sure but I took his post as sarcasm

Some of you are nervous as heck. The Big 12 is getting 5 and maybe 6 teams in.

Nothing erases the Tech game, but this one gives us something positive on the resume and gives us the chance to win our way in.

I'm not saying that we're out right now. I think the posts that say we're in have good stuff behind them. I'm talking through the end of the season. We can get a bunch of good wins now, show the Tech game was a fluke, and go do some tournament damage.

Really pleased with today!

I felt bad for those KSU kids. Those flags were probably the curtains to their trailers. If they left somebody at home, they may be freezing from exposure.

See my point above. I'm not talking about the tournament. You are. That's the difference.

The point is that, no offense, but you 99% most likely don't have a great direct impact on the outcome of any game usually, and neither do I, or most people on this forum. Unless we physically go to games and interact with players and it affects them somehow, how we feel isn't necessarily going to change anything.

It's kind of like worrying about the weather. You can worry all you want, but it's not going to change ****.

Agree about the quality road win. Might as well get it immediately. No reason to wait. Doesn't mean we couldn't see more road wins.

I know all about the lengthy skid in Stillwater. I always say, "Streaks either continue or they don't."

As Jim Frey said when they put the lights in at Wrigley, "Every tradition started sometime."
Let's start a new Stillwater tradition.

Well no duh...all I'm saying is when you lose to a team you "should beat", it's nice to win one that you aren't expected to win to "even it out". We haven't won that game yet and IMO the only games that would do that are the road games I listed earlier. I think all of use would like to get a win like that to help remove the TT disgust.
