*** OFFICIAL ISU VS KSU POST GAME THREAD ***

Great game out of everyone today!

Just thought I better get on here and hand out the props since I dish it out after losses like TT. I thought everyone played well today. Effort was better, ball movement was MUCH better, and defense was a lot better too. Great job!

If we could have only made FTs, it would have been over with about 4 minutes left, but we couldn't. Hopefully that will improve.

I also wish Percy was more a factor somehow. He really seems in a funk lately. Hope he can figure it out. He certainly doesn't need to throw up horrible shots every single time he gets the ball down low. That would be a start.

Except you. You're a terrible fan.

A home win doesn't even out the loss to a terrible TTech team. We need an unexpected road win to do that. Maybe that will come Wednesday, but Stillwater has never been kind to ISU.

But Tech was a road loss. If Tech was a home loss, we would need a road win to make up for it.....

It's definitely possibly, but still a tough climb to 21, IMO. If we can go undefeated in Hilton, it would get us 90% of the way there.

I feel like we still have to win one on the road against OU/KSU/OSU/Baylor.

Team obviously finds a way to pull through at home, when it can't do it on the road. So far, no good wins on road/neutral. It's the biggest hurdle at this point, getting a quality win on the road — which, even if ISU wins out at home, I think is necessary to lock a bid; without the bad Tech loss, it might not be as essential to balance it.

Mitch Holtus didn't seem as giddy about today's upset as he was about Wednesday nights. I always liked Mitch as a neutral announcer but thought he is somewhat cartoonish as the Chiefs cheerleader and absolutely horrible when trying to be a funny guy when he's on with Cotlar.

I disagree, I have seen him make lots of contested shots. He really is in a shooting funk. He needs to practice. Those really hurt us today also, he missed some barely contested shots. I would be practicing every spare minute I have.

Teams watch film and notice that he literally only shoots left handed scoop shots, left handed hook shots, and left handed layups. And he only goes left. And he shoots every single time he touches it in the post without thought of passing.

Key to today's win? REBOUNDING! We rebounded MUCH better than we have the last few games. We rebound against TT like we did today, and we win that game, regardless of everything else. Rebounding even allows you to shoot terrible at the FT line and still win. (not that I want to see a sub-50% FT shooting game again)

Some people on this board should be ashamed of themselves the way they reacted to the Tech loss. I hope they choke on this win.

I understand what you are saying. What I am saying is TT is THAT bad that you cannot get the taste of that loss out of your mouth without winning a game you aren't expecting to win. That gives us 4 chances. Those are the road games against KSU, OSU, Baylor, and OU. Need one of those to even out the disgust of losing at Tech. No home win will do that.

I don't think that is true.

It always starts with rebounding. This is the one thing you'll hear John Wooden emphasizing as a strategy. REBOUND! REBOUND! An we all know how successful he was..

I don't think that is true.

It's not whether it's "true", it's how I feel. TT will linger for me unless we win one we aren't expecting.

OHHHH...I see the disconnect. You guys are talking about what is needed to make the NCAA and I am just talking about season results.

He invented wood, right? An essential building material.

You know you spelled Jamie wrong in your sig, right?

That's cool and you can feel all you want, but guess what? You aren't on the selection committee or even close to it. So your point is what?
