***Official ISU @ UConn POST GAME Thread***

Well, Scott Spreitzer (or however you spell his name) lost some money on us. He sounded pretty confident yesterday that we were going to lose by double digits.

Just looking at the box score, just because I knew it would be "stats sometimes do lie" material:

Outgained in total offense (by 1)
Even in turnovers (but -- 3 INTs on first 3 passes (or was it first 4?)
Time of possession: UConn 31:50, ISU 28:10, fairly even
First downs: UConn 20, ISU 12
And, my favorite: Penalties -- ISU 11-91, UConn 1-5.

Nice to win games like that, especially on the road.

Imagine what the score might've been if ISU had even a modest advantage in those categories.

Wow, I am still dumbfounded that we were able to win that game. We played like absolute crap most of the game (ESPECIALLY the 1st Q Iowa hangover).

Kudos to the team for pulling this one out. Our bye week has perfect timing.

Nice to be on the good side of two missed field goals that could have changed the outcome of the game.

I just talked to a buddy that was there. Cy was taunting a bit at the top of the stairs to the field. Apparently some UConn fan came down and pushed her??? Apparently the cops were all over that and took the person off.

All I know is that your team is 3-0 and has beaten your in state B1G rival and a 2010 BCS team. That's pretty impressive no matter how you slice it.

Hope you guys crush Texas next week!

Thanks QBUMizzou!! Good luck to you and lets hope we can keep the Big 12 together.

3-0 sure is pretty though... I should have been at that game, but alas my wife had her first night out w/ friends tonight since giving birth to our now 2 month old twins. So ended up staying home rocking out the iowa state onesies.

All three of you rocked out the onesies. I'm sure the twins looked cute, but not sure about you. All I can think about is Ralphie in his Pink Bunny suit he got from his Aunt on The Christmas Story.

My son is in his ISU footie pajamas. If only they made those adult size!

Game balls to the front 7 on D for keeping us in it in the first quarter, the receiving corps (special mention to Money and Lenz), and Jantz for gutting it out in the second half. He didn't look right after that hit right before halftime.
3-0 and we haven't put together four full quarters yet. That either makes me giddy for the rest of the season or terrified, depending on how optimistic I'm feeling.
Oh, and Uconn's three headed monster at QB is an absolute disaster. Pick one and roll with him, Pasqualoni.

I remember that, too. Promising start, and then ...

Should've beaten KU (lost a lead in 4th Qtr) then lost to Colorado (Buffs only win of the year).

It was sooo Donnie Duncan.

The big difference I see this year, is this team finding ways to win and our defense is working right when it has to.

Brings back memories of "Another one bites the dust" by queen and launching oranges on the field, only to tank the next 5 straight
