Call a timeout. Absolutely pathetic effort on the defensive end and another quick possession on the offensive end. This is exactly how Iowa can get back in the game.

I know that Fred supports his shooters and has given them the green light to shoot if they're open, but he should seriously rescind his offer to Ejim. He has airballed more 3's than he has made this year.
 
Then a lazy *** pass by White. Hoiberg needs to call a timeout here and if he doesn't he's really making a big mistake. Refocus the team and get back on track.
 
Babb should've gone to the corner there. I don't think that's necessarily Royce's bad.

I think there are certain guys you always give the green light to. Christopherson is an obvious one. But when you aren't any good at shooting 3s you shouldn't be allowed to shoot them unless you are wide open and there is less than 10 seconds on the shot clock. Anything else from guys like Ejim and they need to be pulled out of the game until they understand their limitations.

I saw this a LOT last year. Jesus we'd jack up 20+ 3s a game even though we were HORRIBLE at shooting them as a team. When you are as small as were are to boot it will likely (and did) lead to a lot of defensive rebounds and transition buckets for the opposition.
 
I'll never understand why Fred allows Scotty to run the point AT ALL. Chris Allen gets his 3rd foul and then the offense does nothing for 4 minutes. If Allen can't be in to run the point you need Bubu in there. He can handle it.

Hopefully we can continue the beat down now.

This is where Fred needs to drop the hammer. Bench anyone who makes a lazy play, even if it means burning a time-out. No Duke fan, but you always see Coach K pull a player and talk to him even when they are up 25. Got to send the message.
 
Iowa is one of the worst teams I have seen at this level in a long time. Absolutely awful on both ends Maybe two D1 players on their roster.

We are so much better with Bubu in right now. Just completely different team when he plays. He comes in and everyone plays harder instantly.
